This summer many of the weddings that we supplied marquees for had a vintage or ‘summer fete’ type theme. For these types of weddings a traditional style marquee is perfect.
The sheer white elegance and tradition of a canvas marquee is the perfect setting for a vintage style marquee. This together with trestle tables, bunting and other decorations have hopefully created some truly memorable summer weddings. The vintage look can be achieved with or without an interior lining, according to your preference. Some clients have preferred simple bench seating while others have opted for the very popular limewash chiavari chair which is very ‘shabby chic’.
In August we did a wedding near Brentwood, Essex where the bride and groom wanted lots of fairy lights in the roof of the marquee. They also made their own late summer bouquets and decorated a pergola whereby guests entered the marquee. We supplied trestle tables, subdued lighting and folding wooden chairs. See the images below – it looked great.
We are taking bookings for next summer; if you are planning your wedding in 2016 and thinking of a marquee for your big day contact me now. I can give you a range of prices and options or arrange a site visit.
