We are often asked what size marquee should I get ?
In truth the best way is for us to visit you and advise but we have produced a capacity chart to give you a rough idea of size. You can find the chart here – http://www.bsw-marquees.co.uk/capacities.html
As well as number of guests and dining options you also need to consider if you need a dance floor, service tent, catering tent, bar area or even cloak room facilities. You also need to think about where to site your marquee; is there space around the marquee for guy ropes and access, will it sit on a hard standing ?
At BSW Marquees we have 2 types of marquees we supply. The traditional white canvas marquees and the modern frame tents.
If you have the space then a traditional English style marquee creates a special ambience, but requires a minimum of 1m / 1.5m (3ft / 5ft) around the circumference of the tent to allow for the guy ropes.
A frame tent, also only available in white, is often a more practical choice – it does not need additional space for guy ropes and can usually be supplied to fit any site, regardless of size or shape. Frame tents are also the best option if the marquee is to sit on top of a hard floor, a patio, tennis court, car parking etc.
We have been supplying marquees of all shapes and sizes in Essex and East Anglia for a long time. We understand that you may only be just considering a marquee and have yet to make your mind up, this is not a problem, contact us now for a no obligation visit or quick chat on the phone or email.
